We are a group of New Yorkers from across the state who have come together since the last election to work together to think of mutual aid as meaningful action against our current government.

We live in a country which has no interest in granting its people any of the freedoms and benefits that they need and have relied on.

Instead, the role of government has been reduced to that of economic destruction and domestic martial action against any who are deemed a threat.

American fascism is neither new nor unfamiliar, but now it no longer needs to hide its face.

The greatest threat to this overtly fascist America? Communities that do not depend on it.

Mutual aid doesn’t need to be supplementary to action, or just sustain action;

it is action in and of itself.

Communities that remove themselves from government dependency remove themselves from government control, and there is no better place to start than New York.

That being said, more traditional forms of protest are the most important, and we organize events for everyone to get involved in their own way.
